Farmers markets are just one of those things we keep coming back to. There is something about buying food from the person who grew it, picking up flowers from someone who clearly loves what they do, grabbing a coffee and having nowhere to be for an hour. It slows everything down in the best way.
Here is where to find them around the city:
Trout Lake Farmers Market | Saturdays, 9am-2pm April 4 - October 31, 2026 | John Hendry Park, East Vancouver
Kitsilano Farmers Market | Sundays, 10am-2pm May 3 - November 1, 2026 | Larch Street at West 10th Avenue
West End Farmers Market | Saturdays, 9am-2pm May 2 – October 31, 2026 | Nelson Park, Thurlow at Comox
False Creek Farmers Market | Thursdays, 3pm-7pm, May 14 - October 29, 2026| Olympic Village Square Milton Wong Plaza.
Riley Park Farmers Market (Main Street) | Saturdays, year round | Hillcrest Community Centre
The Riley Park one runs all year, which makes it a reliable constant no matter the season.
And honestly, sometimes the best summer move is just picking a neighbourhood you do not know that well and walking around for a couple of hours. Vancouver rewards that kind of exploration. You almost always find something worth coming back to.
